Questions people ask

Is it free?

Free to download and play, with no ads. Later there will be optional purchases for new garden areas and cosmetics; nothing you buy will ever grow something for you.

Do I need to know sudoku?

No. Five short lessons teach it, and hints explain the reasoning whenever you want one.

Is there a timer, or lives?

No. There’s no clock, no lives, no streak and no penalty for being away.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The game makes no network calls of its own, so it plays with no connection.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

What do you collect about me?

Nothing at all. No analytics, no tracking, no identifiers. See the privacy policy.

Where is my progress kept?

In a file on your phone. Uninstalling the game removes it.

What board sizes are there?

4×4 and 6×6. 9×9 is planned for a later release.

Can I play it with a screen reader?

Yes. Every patch has a spoken label and custom actions, conflicts and completed rows are announced, and the garden can be planted and rearranged without a single gesture on the scene.

What languages does it speak?

English.

I found a problem. What should I tell you?

Your phone, which version of iOS or Android it runs, and what happened. If you can say what you did just before it, so much the better.

Accessibility

Accessibility is built into the game rather than added at the end, and none of it is behind a payment.

  • Every patch on the board has a spoken label and custom actions for planting, erasing and noting.
  • Clashes, completed rows and a finished puzzle are announced.
  • The garden can be planted and rearranged without any gesture on the scene — there are lists of your plants and of the plots with room, and a “Plant for me” action.
  • Text follows your system size and scales to three times normal.
  • A high-contrast board, optional number labels on every vegetable, and numbers or letters instead of vegetables if you prefer them.
  • A left-handed layout that mirrors the tray and the toolbar.
  • Reduced motion, with its own alternative for every animation.
  • Every control is at least 48 × 48 points.
